Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

We are here!

We arrived in Kampala yesterday and found out that we were missing one suitcase and we now have a 3-wheeled stroller! Today we are being reunited with our luggage, we shall see if there is a stroller wheel hanging from it!

True to Ugandan fashion, plans have changed a hundred times. We have now come full circle in our plans and will be travelling to Gulu and Kitgum tomorrow early morning. Erryn has her court date on the 12th and a major answered prayer...
****Her court date will be for both Nancy AND Bosco**** This is a huge praise!

We are loving being in this country. The landscape is so green and lush--absolutely gorgeous. We have already met so many Ugandans and have given out many suckers! We have taken so many pictures and have fallen in love with so many children. It is a beautiful place!

We had an idea...maybe you are wanting to have a glimpse of what it is like to be here in Uganda...so tonight and tomorrow and for the next couple days...when you hop into the shower, turn on ONLY the cold water! You may hear a few squeals, but you may begin quoting scripture..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." ...or maybe singing songs like..."It's gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiny day..." Sometimes being in less than ideal situations makes us more thankful, encourages us to look for the positive, and causes us to lean on our Lord a little more. So once again, we will welcome our cold shower!

I want you to know how much we are enjoying your comments. They are a priceless treasure to us during this time. We appreciate your prayers and know, without a doubt, God is listening and answering. It is such a comfort to know we have sisters and brothers in Christ praying us through this adoption journey. You are playing a critical part in this adoption by praying. Thank you.

Unfortunately we are being attacked by mosquitos at the moment and need to sign off. We will look for another opportunity soon.

P.S. Thank you Todd for your kind, encouraging words, your compliments, and your love for the Lord. I love you so much!

This is wierd. It's a bit surreal that you're on the flip side of the globe.

Read Proverbs 16. Direct the course of your ship and then ride the wave of God's plan to the end.

I love you.

PS By the way, there's nobody here to answer critical questions like, "Where's the toothpaste?", and "What's for dinner?"

Thanks for keeping in touch & confirming that our prayers are being heard & answered. I am home for lunch. Will go over to help Jordan with the girls after work. The weather is beautiful here again today.
Keep His light shining & we will do the same.
Love to you ALL ! Peace, Mom/Monica

PRAISE BE TO GOD - I have been praying continously since last night for all the items you listed but, most especially, focused on Bosco and your ability to bring him home now as well. Once again, I find myself humbled and in awe of power and glory of our Lord.

Jenny, please do me a favor and jump up and down and give Erryn the biggest hug ever on the news that the court date is for both.

I TREASURE your daily blogs and you ladies.

May God's blessings continue to shower on you.

Jenny, beloved daughter of the Most High,

May God's gracious hand uphold you while you do His will. May He supply for all your needs as His Spirit works in and through you. And may you experience His strength and courage knowing He has gone before you to prepare the soil for the seeds you are sowing in Uganda.

I read through the following verses last night and remembered you. Today Jesus has moved me to lift you up while praying through 2 Corinthians 9:8-15. These are the inpsired words of God...

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:

"He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gifts!

Your obedience to God as His ambassador is contagious. I am blessed and encouraged by your willingness to go forth and share Jesus' love with the beautiful people of Uganda. He will be glorified!!! His Name will be praised above all names.

God bless you, Sister. I will continue to pray for you and your friends, your precious babies and God's movement in Uganda.

Love,
Erinn

My heart goes out to you girls for battling all those mosquitos! :) But seriously, what a journey you've been through to get your children - God's children - and bring them back to just love on them. I sense a heightened excitement on this end for you to return triumphant with those babies! I wanted to share what I read this morning in "Grace for the Moment."
- PRAYERS ARE PRECIOUS JEWELS
The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. 1 Peter 3:12
You and I live in a loud world. To get someone's attention is no easy task. He must be willing to set everything aside to listen: turn away from the monitor, turn the corner of the page and set down the book. When someone is willing to silence everything else so he can hear us clearly, it is a pivilege. A rare privilege, indeed.
Your prayers are honored in heaven as precious jewels. Purified and empowered, the words rise in a delightful fragrance to our Lord....Your words do not stop until they reach the very throne of God...
Your prayer on earth activates God's power in heaven, and "God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven."...
Your prayers (our prayers) move God to change the world. You may not understand the mystery of prayer. You don't need to. But this much is clear: Actions in heaven begin when someone prays on earth.

Blessings to you as we all continue to pray prayers of precious jewels! -Tara

Thank you so much for posting again. I am always so anxious to hear how you all are doing. Hallelujah for Erryn's court date for both kids!! Tears came fast when I read that. Your journey has lit my prayer life on fire this week. My little Lindsey went to dress herself this morning and out she walked in her bright red Uganda t-shirt (and orange pants...4 year old fashion statement!!). She then wanted to know why I was crying and smiling all at the same time. It was so fun to look at your pictures with her and talk about how awesome our God is. I must say I also love reading the comments being left. I feel so connected to all my sisters in the Lord (Hello, Rhona and Amanda xoxo) May the Lord continue to bless you all.
Love, Jo

I almost couldn't get through your post today - I just welled up - so I stopped and wrote in my first answer to prayer!!! Praise God for Bosco's court date! He is sovereign and raises up authorities when and where He needs them. "How precious is you unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings." Ps. 36:7

We will continue to present every request to our all powerful God, especially that all the proceedings are favorable, speedy, and that all the paperwork is handled perfectly.

Love you guys!

P.S. I'll take a cold shower for you tomorrow - but I don't know if I can turn it ALL the way to cold - our cold water's got to be a lot colder than Uganda's, right?

It is so exciting & encouraging to read your updates! You are in my thoughts & prayers daily. (I'm wearing my UGANDA shirt today!)

I loved the cold shower part of your update-- our hot water heater is on the fritz & it has been cold showers for us since last Thursday!! I can relate! I'll have to try quoting some Scripture next time!! For sure, I'll be thinking of the people of Uganda & praying for them!

Isn't it amazing how God can use something so ordinary (a shower) to remind us to pray for something EXTRAordinary (a move of God in UGANDA)?!! Our God is awesome.

Sending my love & continued prayers,
Bethany
