Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

"Mommy is in Africa fighting Satan!"

These are the words my three-year-old said a couple days ago and it is so true. The battle is not against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of this world. And God has had the victory! He continues to show Himself to us in miraculous ways. It doesn't come easy. God requires us to give our all, and when we have no more to give, then He wants us to trust Him even more. Again, I felt like giving up yesterday. I was spent in every way possible. I even started to cry in an official's office--it was the last official of the day and I emotionally could not handle what he said to me. He responded kindly after that, but I felt defeated and worn out.

That night, I called in reinforcement. I had my mom and Pastor Sam meet me in Kampala today to help with the kids, to be prayer warriors present on the battlefield, and to offer the encouragement I so desperately needed. Today was a wonderful day that will be marked in the history books of our family...we got C & K's passports today!! There is absolutely no way to explain this other than a miracle! We are rejoicing, to put it lightly.

Tomorrow early morning, Mom, Pastor Sam, the kids and I are going to the US Embassy for the final step--the visas! Please cover us and this official in prayer. We are so close! Words cannot describe the range of emotions I feel as I approach the finish line after two years of waiting.
Thank you Jesus!

I am so excited for you all...the light at the end of a very long tunnel. Jenny, you and Todd should honestly publish this "blog" someday. You are both fantastic writers with a gift of sharing your faith and experiences so profoundly through your written word. I have been so inspired by your writing. As I have said before, because of your family and your efforts in sharing your story, my prayer life has taken on a new dimension. I find myself now praying about the details of my life, not just the "big stuff". Thank you both for the effort you have put in to keeping us all up to date on your journey. What a day that will be when your family is reunited! I will be praying that the final leg of your journey goes smoothly and that God would give you great strength as you come to the finish line.
God bless,
Jo

JENNY,
I was BEAMING from ear to ear when I got Todd's message after work. What was said to going to take TEN days took less than 24 HOURS. Lucky? I don't think so, we all just witnessed a divine MIRACLE. May we stand in awe at this moment and realize that we truly all serve an awesome, blessing giving God. He loves His children and desires to give them the desires of THEIR hearts. WOW!!!!
We love you and will be praying diligently for tomorrow's miracles!!

We serve a faithful God. He gave you a desire, and He will surely fulfill it. Your soul has waited silently for Him; walk in all confidence and assurance in the power of the Holy Spirit as God claims the victory! I only wish I could be there to cry tears of joy with you as you arrive home with your Jesus babies. May He sustain all of you on your journey home!

In awe of God,
Erinn

I continue to be amazed by our God! I can't wait to see His full purpose and all that is going on in the spiritual realm concerning your families - someday when we can see history as recorded perfectly and completely by God.

I continue to pray for the remaining steps and that Erryn will be ready to come home much sooner than anticipated. I am praying for miracles in their situation right now as well so that you can travel home together.

I will be in Spokane this weekend, and will get home late Sunday night. As much as I want to be among the many that meet you when you return, I actually hope you get home before me!
